ABOUT US

Gary Baker and Associates has a rich history of excellence and stability dating back to the early 20th century when it was founded by Herbert Voelcker and Jesse Dixon.  They are considered by some historians to be the Fathers of Architecture in Texas designing more than 200 schools, colleges, courthouses, post offices and medical facilities.

In 1964, Conrad Staley became partners in the firm with the name changing to Dixon-Staley.  In 1975, Gary Baker joined the firm and became part owner in 1996 with the formation of Staley-Baker-Monson (SBM).  SBM projects include the City of Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center, Stone Creek Apartments, North Park Village Apartments, Midwestern State University Liberty Bell Plaza, and City View Junior / Senior High School among others.

On January 1st, 2012, Gary Baker became the sole owner of the firm.  Gary has over 35 years of experience in architecture in a wide range of projects ranging from private sector to the public sector. His experience, integrity, attention to detail and willingness to do whatever it takes to meet the clients needs makes him a great choice when looking for an Architect.
